Sportklinik Hellersen is the first clinic in the Märkischer Kreis to offer online appointments

Better patient care through fast and efficient appointment management

In order to optimize the service for patients in the long term and to relieve medical staff permanently, the Hellersen Sports Clinic and the Hellersen Sports Clinic Medical Care Center are cooperating with the e-health service provider Doctolib. The collaboration with the technology provider will enable patients of the Hellersen Sports Clinic and the Hellersen Medical Care Center to make and manage appointments online around the clock starting Thursday, June 1 - via the websites of the clinic and the Medical Care Center, via the online portal www.doctolib.de and via the Doctolib app. The orthopedic specialty clinic is thus one of the first clinics in the region to offer its patients online appointment management.

So that patients can independently find out about the availability of their doctors outside of telephone consultation hours and book, reschedule or cancel appointments in real time, the Hellersen Sports Clinic and the MVZ Hellersen, rely on the digital appointment management solution from the technology company Doctolib. An attractive online booking service that allows patients to actively manage their health with just a few clicks via the online portal www.doctolib.de and the Doctolib app. The arranged appointment is immediately confirmed digitally and appointment reminders ensure that missed appointments are significantly reduced. The waiting list function also enables them to be informed immediately about an appointment with their doctor that has become free at an earlier time. A positive side effect: time-consuming, telephone coordination can be reduced and specialists can be relieved administratively.

"We have already worked a lot in recent years to offer our patients an ideal service and are constantly developing this further. Digitization is an indispensable factor in this, which also includes offering online appointment management. Another major advantage for us is the simultaneous reduction in the workload of our employees," says Dirk Burghaus, Chairman of the Board of Sportklinik Hellersen and Managing Director of MVZ der Sportklinik Hellersen GmbH.

"As a company in the healthcare industry, our primary goal is to relieve medical professionals and improve patient care together with our partners. The cooperation with Sportklinik Hellersen and MVZ Hellersen is a great benefit for us and helps us reach even more patients on a regional level," says Nikolay Kolev, Managing Director of Doctolib Germany.

This is how the online appointment system works
Via the website of the Hellersen Sports Clinic or the MVZ, patients can access the Hellersen Sports Clinic Doctolib website(www.doctolib.de/klinik/luedenscheid/sportklinik-hellersen) and that of the MVZ(www.doctolib.de/medizinisches-versorgungszentrum-mvz/luedenscheid/mvz-hellersen). Here they select the desired area and click on "Book appointment". The tool takes them by the hand and goes through the booking step by step with them. Afterwards, the agreed appointment is immediately confirmed digitally. A few days before, a reminder is sent again via email or SMS.

"We are proud to be one of the first clinics in the region to offer this digital service to our patients, making it even easier for them to access excellent medical care," says Dirk Burghaus.
